Magna, UT (June 23, 2025) – A violent collision late Saturday night in Magna has tragically claimed the lives of two people and left a third individual in critical condition. The crash took place at approximately 10:30 p.m. on June 21 at the intersection of State Route 201 and 7200 West.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, a red Mustang was waiting in the left turn lane on northbound 7200 West when the signal changed to green. As the driver began turning, a white BMW traveling eastbound on SR 201 failed to yield and collided forcefully with the Mustang’s side. The impact was severe enough to kill both occupants inside the Mustang. The driver of the BMW sustained critical injuries and was transported to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray for emergency care.
Authorities described the event as a high-speed crash. The scene remained active until about 4:00 a.m. Sunday as officers investigated and cleared debris. The names of those involved have not yet been released, pending notification of their families.
