Car Accidents in Utah
Thousands of car accidents occur across Utah every year, leaving many people injured. Driver negligence, hazardous road conditions, and mechanical failures contribute to these crashes. Understanding the common causes of accidents can help reduce risks on the road.

- Reckless Driving: Aggressive behaviors such as tailgating, rapid lane changes, and excessive speeding lead to dangerous road conditions. These actions reduce reaction time and increase the severity of collisions.
- Running Stop Signs and Lights: Failing to obey traffic signals often results in high-impact crashes, particularly at busy intersections. These accidents can cause severe injuries to drivers and passengers alike.
- Distracted Driving: Using a cellphone, adjusting the radio, or eating while driving diverts attention from the road. Even a brief distraction can result in a serious accident.
- Improper Lane Changes: Merging without checking blind spots or signaling can lead to collisions. Drivers must remain aware of their surroundings to avoid unnecessary crashes.
- Roadway Hazards: Construction zones, potholes, and uneven pavement can make driving dangerous. Failing to adjust speed or remain vigilant in these conditions increases accident risks.
