Car Accidents in Utah
Utah experiences thousands of traffic accidents each year, many resulting in injuries or worse. In 2023, the state saw an increase in both urban and rural collisions. Road safety continues to be a priority for the Utah Department of Public Safety, which promotes awareness and safe driving practices statewide.
When a crash happens, it’s important to understand the common forms of property damage that victims may face:
- Vehicle Frame Damage: Even minor collisions can impact the structural frame of a vehicle. This kind of damage often requires costly repairs and can reduce the car’s value significantly. It may also impact future crash protection.
- Airbag Deployment: While airbags save lives, their deployment often signals substantial impact. Replacing airbags and repairing the dashboard area can be a considerable expense for drivers and insurers alike.
- Broken Windows or Windshields: Glass damage is frequently reported after crashes. From small chips to full shatters, window repairs are important not only for aesthetics but also safety and visibility.
- Tire and Axle Issues: The force of a crash can bend axles or damage tires, leading to alignment problems or blowouts if not repaired. Thorough post-accident inspections are necessary to uncover hidden issues.
- Paint and Body Damage: Scrapes, dents, and missing paint are common after any collision. Repairing this type of damage helps restore vehicle value and prevents rust or further deterioration.
