Salt Lake City, UT (August 4, 2025) A two vehicle crash involving a Ford F-350 pickup and another passenger vehicle was reported early Sunday morning, August 3, at approximately 4:58 a.m. The incident took place on the 4300 block of South Riverboat Road in Salt Lake City and resulted in injuries.
Emergency dispatch received multiple calls regarding the crash, prompting a rapid response from local fire crews and paramedics. Upon arrival, responders found two heavily damaged vehicles, with one pinned partially off the roadway. Initial assessments confirmed at least one person sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of those injuries has not been released.
Deputies from the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office secured the area and launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. Officers noted that the pickup truck appeared to have struck the side of the other vehicle, possibly during a lane change or while turning at the intersection. Investigators are reviewing available video footage, skid marks, and witness statements to determine liability.
Traffic was temporarily diverted through nearby streets while the scene was cleared. Both vehicles were towed due to significant front end and side damage. No citations have been announced yet, but the sheriff’s department is expected to release more findings as the investigation progresses.
We extend our best wishes for a full recovery to those injured in this early morning collision.
Car Accidents in Salt Lake City
Collisions involving large trucks like the Ford F-350 often lead to more severe outcomes than those between smaller vehicles. In urban and semi industrial areas like South Riverboat Road, where narrow lanes, business traffic, and early morning deliveries converge, crashes are unfortunately not uncommon.
Even seemingly minor crashes can cause long-lasting injuries. Neck and back trauma, soft tissue damage, and internal injuries often don’t present symptoms until hours or days after the accident. Victims may need diagnostic imaging, physical therapy, and missed time from work, all of which come with a financial burden.
