Salt Lake City, UT (April 16, 2025) – A tragic accident claimed the life of a motorcyclist Tuesday evening in Salt Lake City’s Fairpark neighborhood. The crash took place on April 15 just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of 900 West and 200 North.
According to Salt Lake City Police, a vehicle was making a left turn from 200 North onto southbound 900 West when it collided with a motorcycle heading north. The intersection has a stop sign for drivers on 200 North, while traffic on 900 West has no stop control.
Emergency medical teams responded and transported the injured motorcyclist to a local hospital with critical injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, the rider later died. The identity of the victim has not yet been released. Authorities confirmed the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. Police noted that no signs of impairment were detected, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
