Car Accidents in Utah
St. George has become one of Utah’s fastest-growing cities, and with that growth comes increased traffic and a rise in crashes. Statewide, Utah sees more than 25,000 injury-related traffic accidents each year. Heavily traveled roads like St George Boulevard often see the most activity, particularly during the evening commute.

Understanding common injuries from crashes like this one can help victims and their families navigate the aftermath:
- Chest Injuries: Seatbelts and airbags protect lives, but they can also cause bruising or fractures to the ribs and sternum. These injuries may not be immediately apparent but can result in serious pain and breathing difficulty.
- Neck and Spine Injuries: Rear-end or side-impact collisions frequently lead to whiplash or spinal disc injuries. Even low-speed crashes can cause lasting damage to the neck or back, requiring long-term care or surgery.
- Lacerations and Cuts: Broken glass and vehicle debris can lead to serious lacerations, often requiring stitches or cosmetic treatment. Deeper wounds may increase the risk of infection or scarring.
- Joint Injuries: Shoulders, wrists, and knees are often impacted in a crash. Dislocations, torn ligaments, and joint sprains can affect mobility and take weeks or months to heal.
- Airbag-Related Injuries: While life-saving, airbags can cause burns, facial injuries, or eye trauma upon deployment—especially when occupants are sitting too close to the steering wheel or dashboard.
