Uintah, UT (August 6, 2025) – A traffic collision that resulted in injuries occurred Monday afternoon, August 5, at approximately 4:13 p.m. near 6600 South on Highway 89 in Uintah. The incident involved two vehicles and caused moderate disruptions along the highway corridor during peak travel hours.
Emergency crews from Weber County responded quickly to the scene. Upon arrival, responders located two damaged vehicles, one of which had sustained significant front-end damage. Medical personnel administered treatment to at least one individual who was later transported to a nearby hospital for further care. The nature and extent of the injuries have not yet been officially released.
Deputies from the Weber County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to assist with traffic control and to investigate the cause of the crash. Officers secured the area, collected witness statements, and initiated a review of traffic camera footage and other evidence to determine what led to the collision. Preliminary investigations point to possible causes such as failure to yield or following too closely, although authorities have not confirmed these factors.
Traffic in the southbound lanes of Highway 89 was temporarily restricted while the scene was cleared. Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles, and debris was cleared from the road. The cleanup lasted for nearly an hour before all lanes were reopened.
