Utah Dance Studio Owner Charged With Sexual Abuse of Young Clients

In early July 2025, an Eagle Mountain man, with a dance studio in Cottonwood Heights, was recently charged with sexual abuse of his young clients.

The police began to investigate the case after one of his students spoke about the abuse in February. 46 year old Marc Edgar Alexander Cameron was “charged in 3rd District Court with four counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony, and is accused of abusing multiple girls since 2019” according to KSL.

Cameron would focus his attention on the younger clients, so they would not understand what was going on.

One of the girls stated that she began at the dance studio when she was five years old, and a year later the abuse began. This victim said that Cameron took her into his office and touched her inappropriately. She stated that this happened often.

Another victim said that Cameron put cameras into their changing room. These cameras made her uncomfortable, so she would cover herself up with changing or even hide. This student said she was scared to go inside one time, and Cameron got her from the car, and then took her into his office, where he touched her inappropriately.

After an investigation, prosecutors found documents in the United Kingdom that showed that Cameron was also accused of abusing young dancers he taught. After that investigation, he came to the United States and continued this behavior.

Cameron states that none of the accusations are true, but he would have the girls sit on his lap in his office.
