Midvale, UT (May 2, 2025) – A 24-year-old motorcyclist lost his life late Wednesday night following a high-speed collision on State Street in Midvale. The deadly crash occurred around 11:00 p.m. on May 1 near the intersection of State Street and 8000 South.
According to Aymee Race of the Unified Police Department, Raul Alexis Silvasanchez-Stockseth was riding north on State Street when a vehicle attempted a left turn to head west. The motorcycle collided with the turning car in the intersection. Witnesses immediately began rendering aid before emergency responders arrived.
Paramedics arrived shortly after the crash and took over life-saving efforts. Sadly, despite their attempts, Silvasanchez-Stockseth was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say the driver of the vehicle involved remained at the location and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Police noted that charges may be filed depending on the results of the inquiry.
